Thematic working group on ‘Resource efficient rural economy’

The ENRD Contact Point is launching a new thematic working group on ‘Resource efficient rural economy’ (see leaflet attached). We would like to ask all interested stakeholders to express their interest in being involved in the work of the thematic group and to fill in the short survey on ‘Support for Resource Efficient Rural Economy’: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TG_Resource-Efficiency.

The purpose of the survey is:

  • to identify stakeholders for the thematic group who have an interest in actively contributing to the work of the thematic group and has a good understanding of the theme.
  • to identify relevant sub-themes, issues and challenges that the thematic group will work on.

The thematic group will be highly focused and practical, and therefore we need your input to understand what challenges rural stakeholders face with regard to supporting a resource efficient rural economy through rural development programmes.

If you are not interested and/or not the right person to fill in the survey, please ask it to any other colleagues within your organisation who are working on this theme.

Please note that due to the relatively limited number of thematic group members, the nature of the thematic group method, and Member State and stakeholder balance we may not be able to accommodate all interests expressed. If you are interested in being involved in the thematic group, it is very important that you fill in the survey and return it to us by no later than 27 August 2016.

Through the survey you can also express your ‘level of interest’ in being involved in the thematic work, e.g. (1) actively contribute to the thematic group, (2) be engaged and regularly informed, (3) be informed about main outcomes of the group.

The first thematic group meeting is planned for 26 October 2016. Travel and accommodation costs with regard to thematic group meetings will need to be covered by the members.

If you have any questions with regard to the above, please do not hesitate to contact Edina Ocsko (edina [dot] ocsko [at] enrd [dot] eu).
