Each year the DG AGRI publishes a call for proposals for information measures on the common agricultural policy. Such information measures illustrate how the CAP contributes towards the delivery of the Commission's political priorities, in particular jobs, growth and investment in rural areas, fighting climate change and promoting sustainable agriculture.
The theme of this year’s call for proposals is for information measures that focus on illustrating how the CAP (including the national CAP strategic plans) supports the transition to sustainable food production systems, ensures food security and the long-term resilience of EU agriculture, supports young farmers and improves gender balance, increasing the participation of women in farming.
Applicants are invited to come forward with proposals for information measures focusing on informing citizens about the role of the CAP in supporting the transition to sustainable food production systems, its contribution to ensuring food security and the long-term resilience of EU agriculture, and the support awarded by the CAP to foster generational renewal and attracting women into farming.
The information measures must include one or several activities reaching a significant number of citizens, such as:
- production and distribution/broadcast of print, multimedia or audio-visual material;
- web and social media outreach activities that reach a significant number of citizens;
- media events;
- conferences, seminars, workshops that reach a significant number of citizens and
- studies on CAP-related issues (if required to support the implementation of the information measures).
The target public is the general public (in particular young people in urban areas) and/or farmers and other stakeholders (farmers and non-farmers alike) active in rural areas and the agricultural sector. The total budget for the co-financing of activities is estimated at EUR 4.000.0000. The grant amount should be minimum EUR 125.000 and maximum EUR 500.000 which represents maximum 60% of the eligible costs.
On 17 October 2023, the abovementioned call for proposals was open on the Funding & Tenders Opportunities portal of the Commission.
As we would like to attract and stimulate projects having an innovative character from the largest number possible of Member States, we would appreciate if you could promote this call, the way you consider the most appropriate.
Deadline
Please note that applicants have until 9 January 2024 to send their proposals. For any further information or in case of any questions you may have, please do not hesitate to contact DG AGRI.
